YEAR ROUND FACILITIES DESPITE NEW ENGLAND'S HARSH WINTERS

Water Tower Farm is situated in the pristine beauty of the Green Mountains of central Vermont. The farm has over 20 acres of fenced pasture and turnouts ensuring that each horse sees more of the farm than just its stall, according to the owner's wishes. Although we cater to the Tennessee Walking Horse, we do take in other breeds for boarding, and occasionally for training. Our barns and turnouts are both spacious and secure.
Water
Tower Farm is a full service, year round training, sales, breeding and boarding facility.
We have a 128x60 indoor arena which is necessary to provide continuous and safe training
during the New England winter months. Attached to the arena is a stable containing fifteen
10x12 box stalls, wash stalls, heated tack room and a heated lounge which allows full
viewing of the activity in the arena. The second barn has a heated workshop and office,
quarantine stalls, a heated tack and wash room (which doubles as a heated space for the
farrier and/or veterinarian), as well as an additional 15 box stalls. Our indoor arena is
complemented by a 80x150 fenced outdoor arena, and a fifth of a mile long deep tilth
conditioning track. Our acreage also includes fields, woods and a stream which we use to
work horses being trained for trail purposes.
We utilize the services of several local professionals. Our veterinarian specializes in large animal care and has several horses himself. He has been our farm vet for the last 10 years. Should the need arise, the state's only emergency equine surgical hospital is only 1/2 hour away. Our farrier, a TWH horse owner himself, has done our shoeing for the past 11 years. Additionally, we make use of several well qualified equine dentists for general horse dentistry and also for bitting purposes. We have experience in exporting horses and maintaining quarantine facilities that meet the USDA criteria. We even raise our own hay; we leave nothing to chance.
Visitors are always welcome at our farm. We host an open barn every May, as well as several clinics during the year. If you would like more information about our facility, boarding or training contracts, simply click here to e-mail us.
